Why do you only have 8 people on the Showdown card?

Noob . . . our cards are only made up of 4 matches. This is a somewhat unique feature of TWD that goes hand in hand with the role play requirements and card schedule. The idea is to make every match important virtually and literally. We are; however, due to the growth and quality of the roster going to be adding two "dark matches" to each card which in essense will take place BEFORE SHOWDOWN goes on the air. This is being added simply to keep people active. The card schedule was designed to not force a role player to "work" to participate. The idea is to make e-wrestling more of a hobby again as opposed to a burden. But at this point . . . we have too many guys sitting on their hands wanting to role play. So there you go . . .
Here's a bit for you. One thing I could not stand about a lot of GFedWrestling feds was the number of matches that would appear on each card. This happened MAINLY because the fed heads wanted to appease the GFedWrestling value system and not only did/does it become way too noisy but it also lessens the value of said matches in the eyes of the handlers.
All in all . . . it's pretty much an NFL versus MLB schedule debate. I tend to side with the NFL.
At any rate . . . you're not on the card because you do not have a character in the fed. So to answer your question . . . No. So if you want to have a character in the fed, send in your profile information and a sample role play. But to be honest with you . . . until I find out more about you or things settle down on these boards for a couple weeks, I'm not letting you join. The cons simply outweigh the pros at this point.

That's fair enough. Thank you for explaining all of that to me. I will stay away from the boards and see what happens over the next few weeks. But I don not want to sit around waiting for a match (or even a DARK match) because I am too good for that, and I am sure a lot of the others who are not in matches feel the same. You have a weird way of doing things here but I will just have to get on with things if I want to be involved here. But If you are not letting me join then there is not much I can do.

If you realized what pat just said he didn't deny you entry into the fed. You just have to read behind the lines. The pros outweigh the cons means that you have yet to submit even an eighth of what you said you are capeable of. I am sure thaty if you are as good as you say you are pat might just accept the app and sample RP you subit. EITHER way cards aren't put out weekly.
It will take a while
Besides good things come to those who wait. Everyone on the roster knows this and we all abide by the rule. This format comes from YEARS of each person on the roster being fed heads and other such in the running of a fed.
The bottom line is if you are as good as you say submit an application to Pat and he will be blown away and put you on the roster sooner. Thus you just showed some positive value. This is exactly what was just said in plain english with the implied meangs spelled out.
If you follow the submission process you will have your shot
Understand?

You have a weird way of doing things here but I will just have to get on with things if I want to be involved here. But If you are not letting me join then there is not much I can do. 1.) You don't have to stay away from the boards. Anyone is welcome here as long as they legitimately participate in threads and don't intentionally troll. I've told many a person to "stop in" and "hang out" on the OOC boards. 2.) You're too good to sit around and wait on a match? That pretty much comes off to me as an egotistical and irrelevant statement and I'm not really sure what it means. You don't like the match scheduling? If so, I'm not apologizing. 3.) Everyone here knew about the role play requirements and match scheduling before they joined. To be honest, the smaller role play work load has probably attracted the large majority of the roster. I won't substantiate that because . . . well . . . I don't have to. However, I will take the time to disagree with your "assuredness" that others (on the TWD roster) feel they are too good to wait on a match. 4.) Though I did use the words "I'm not letting you join" you may have (as Ray pointed out) taken that a little out of context. Let me be more specific. I know or have good reference on every handler in TWD as we speak. The only thing I know about you is what I've seen from these forums. Based on that (now don't focus solely on these words), "I'm not letting you join". 5.) Point blank . . . if you don't like the way we do things here and you're just joining to rub our faces in it, don't. Trust me when I say that most of us have been around this game for a good while and even if you really, really, REALLY impress us . . . you're not going to impress us.

impress us?
Most of us have been around so long we could care less about being impressed. The only thing you might get is a high five.

Luger you ass, you stole my 5 bucks.
Noob gimme 10 so I can pay Luger the other 5.
Noob, allow me to explain something to you, something made famous by the NWO.
You want some, come get some, you dont like us, bite us, dont sing it, bring it, shut the hell up and grow a set of balls.
10 years of little idiots like you coming around and claiming you're the shit has gotten old, here I thought I could escape that in TWD but apparently Pat forgot to pay security again.
Now if you're gonna troll around and pick fights with everyone, why don't you just join up and do it in character? I get the feeling that most of us have been doing the E Fed hobby longer than your balls have been dropped, if they have dropped at all. So seriously, begone with your crap, you just give us more reason to be more active ooc.
As a 10 year vet and a former fed head myself, I consider this current rp/card format one of the best in my career, I don't feel PRESSURED to roleplay, and if I wanted to take a few weeks off, I simply have to ask and I'm able to free my life up a little bit. Roleplaying here is fun, because its, FUN, not because we have to.
So as the Number one contender...and the TWD Extreme Champion (according to Pat) I say, put up or shut up.
now as another guy used to say...
kthxbye

Calm down I didn't say I was like one of the best around. You lot really are stress heads. I am not here to cause trouble. I just have a lot of questions that's all. Now I understand the way you do things, and I respect it. I supose it is a good idea the way you have this all set up, and I agree that you don't feel pressured into rolepalying, and it is fun.
All I was saying was that I have enough talent to be a respected valuable member here, that's all. I know I have to prove myself and I will. Things are a bit busy in my life at the moment, so maybe I will let things cool a bit and then maybe join up in the new year.
That may mean you no longer see me on these boards. I know ya'll will miss me!
Come on don't kid yourself, you know you love me already. I have noe go whatsoever, but I can already tell that you like me presence here.

Noob . . . I would never shoot at you with a firearm because without any doubt in my mind you would dodge it. At any rate, the only conclusion that I can come up with is that you need a hug.
Somebody get Dragzilla over here. Thanks.
