Just wanted to get some feedback on the format of our card system (ie: 4 matches per card).
Obviously this creates a bottleneck as far as you guys being put into matches. The match is pretty simple.
With 8 guys on the roster, 0 sit out every week.
With 16 guys on the roster, 8 sit out every week
And we will be at 20 in a flinch and 12 will be sitting out which means you could theoretically not be on a card for SIX weeks. lol
My question is . . . how does everyone feel about this? In all honesty . . . my goal was to create this "type" of atmosphere when being put in a match actually "meant" something but I'm afraid I might be headed towards overboard city.
Here are my thoughts. You guys can respond to each and add your own.
1.) Leave the format unchanged (The downside to this would be the logic mentioned above)
2.) Add more matches to the cards (The downside to this would be there would need to be some help writing the matches because to make this really effective I would see having maybe 6 matches per card.)
3.) Have a card inbetween each SHOWDOWN! Basically all this would do is get you matches (wins/losses). But it would be like a house show and would not contain written results but rather line results such as (Brent Kersh defeats the entire roster of TWD because they are a bunch of sniffling babies who can't produce 16 role plays every two weeks). And everyone would be on the card and your success would be based on previous quality. (ie: You wouldn't be role playing for these matches. You would focus on SHOWDOWN and these matches would just happen).
4.) Split up into two brands. We could split the roster and do like UGH . . . WWE does and have a draft say every six months. (The down side of this would be finding someone to run the other brand and figuring out who would go where without making anyone mad - which I figure would be hard to do.)
Alright boyeeez . . . let the responses and ideas fly . . . I will take silence as satisfaction.
