OHHHHH SHIT! How fuckin' sweet it was to write Showdown. I'm about ready to get the Main Event on the page and post the show... what happens? Oh? Oh? I go to flip online to get some info quick and BOOM! Fuckin video card screws up. Now normally, it recovers in a moment and everything is fine. Is it fine this time? NOOOOO!!! Screen goes black and won't recover. Did I save my work, when that lil' voice in my head told me to just a moment before? NOOOO! Did I have to re-write the Main Event? YEEEEESSS! Fuckin sweet. Dia-fuckin-betic sweet.
So shit, whatever. Showdown is done, it's posted. Got some strats a little later than I would have liked to have them, but the show filled out nice and I'm uber happy with it. Not the content. Content is fine. There is something missing to Showdown. Something that makes the show just ehhh. You know what that is? Written matches. So... here's what we're gonna do. I'm going to do my best to write out matches, regardless of what's going on. Summaries suck. If people no show.. then the match will get a summary. If both parties show.. have a friggin written match, because I'm just that nice of a guy and I think it needs to be done.
What's next? This Turmoil is going to be the last one. Roster is too small and Kevin is away from the federation, so I'm not taking on a 2nd show.
Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to book as many matches for Showdown as I feel like booking. If I want 6, I'll book 6. If I want 4, I'll book 4. Simple as that. No guarentees about how many are going to be on each show or anything like that. I'm just going to do whatever I feel like doing in that regard.
Enforcer title has been held up. It's vacant. What I'm going to do with that, I haven't the slightest idea at this point. I have several notions I put before myself, but none of them have been good enough for me to be like, that's the ticket. So I'll pine around about that one for a minute before I make a decision.
I'm going to need a signature for everyone, similiar to what Kingpin, Saber and the Wizard of Ahhhhs use for their posts. I will be using them on the shows when someone has a spot. I'll make some, Ray has offered to make some, anyone else who is good with graphics, feel free to let me know if you want to help out with that one.
New website. TWD goes in "HD" at Ascension. I don't have enough time to learn these new languages, create the site, banners and all that shit before Supercard II. I'm leaving for NY a couple days after that show posts, so I'll have other things to deal with other than getting that finished. So.. next Pay Per View.. the new site and everything goes into effect. I'm setting my own deadline and making it public, so that means I have to make it happen now.
Some of you have noticed that I booked a show or two in advance. Well... I'm making changes to those shows tonight and the new cards will be out within the hour. Be sure you re-check the main page for the new cards. Some stuff will stay the same, others won't.
I can't think of much else at this point. Thanks a bunch to the people who sent in stuff for this week's Showdown. It really made the show worth while for everyone to read, as we had some real good strats.
As I said in the Top Shelf the other night.. we're getting fucked a lot, so let's just weather this summer storm and get through it together. If you have free time during the week, doesn't matter if your opponent didn't rp. Start a rp, send in a strat, do something. The earlier to get stuff done, the easier it is as the deadline approaches. Work smarter, not harder.
