Ok, so the only wrestling magazine I even bother with is the PWI 500 magazine that comes out each year. I mainly get it to see who the so called "experts" think should have those spots and why. Well here is this years top 10. Thoughts? Opinions? Anyone?
1. Triple H 2. Chris Jericho 3. John Cena 4. Edge 5. Randy Orton 6. Nigel McGuinness 7. Hiroshi Tanahashi 8. CM Punk 9. Sting 10. Ultimo Guerrero
Wow, that is an interesting top 10. I have never seen WWE dominate the top 5 like that. McGuinness went up 2 spots. Sting is the only TNA star to make it? What does that say about TNA this last year? Usually we will get one from Japan or one from Mexico, but never at the same time.

Sting sitting in the Top even after ten years past his prime. Either the new guys need to step their game up, or step aside cause the way this looks, it makes the new guys look very weak as far as talent.

Jericho, Cena, Orton and Sting do not belong.
Angle should be near the top.

It would be a better list if they ranked the writers. Give oscars to the wrestlers but ranking them is fucking stupid. When will people learn that wrestlers are closer to actors than athletes.

Angle, AJ Styles, A lot of the TNA guys, they're pretty good ATHLETES.
Just because it's scripted, doesn't mean it doesn't take a lot of conditioning and working out to stay in shape, especially if you want to look good on TV.
Guys like Big Show, Kane, Festus....The Brian Kendrick....they're nothing close to "athletic"

PWI is based on a lot of things, not who is the better "wrestler". It's based on things like popularity, impact to the business, creativity, wrestling talent, marketability. Basically.. the same things that I look at in all of you and others when I try to find talent to bring in to TWD.
The total package. So I'm gonna break this top 10 down, just for shits and giggles with my coffee.
1. Triple H - You all realize that Stephanie McMahon doesn't write or vote on this list, right? These guys do this every year. I want you all to think about this, because a lot of what Triple H does gets swept under the carpet because people are "sick of seeing him." HHH has helped Orton go from regular bad guy/heel to the sadistic, demonic fuck that he is now. Thats a transition if I've ever saw one, because I've watched character after character trying to get over as that much of a heel, but Orton is there. Also.... HHH is jobbing to Legacy to put them over. LEGACY. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. They are very young, green and really need some time in the ring to look even nearly as good as Hunter. Give him some credit, he's doing the do.
2. Chris Jericho - WWE's savior. His ability is refined and probably couldn't be any better. His mic work is the same. He can feud with big guys. He can feud with the little cruisers. Everyone wins when Jericho is involved. Doesn't matter who he gets involved with.. it's generally always a focal point of the shows and with good reason. You're gonna dog that?
3. John Cena - Get sick of this guy too. It's the common chant from people. Honeset though.. why are you sick of him? There isn't an arena in the world that WWE didn't go to yet where the place hasn't gone apeshit when his music hits. No, he isn't going to give you a moonsault. He is a brawler and he can work the mic. Sounds pretty identical to the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, huh? Say you were sick of him too. You'd mark out like a high school girl if the Rock came back.
4. Edge - He's hurt right now, but this guy was carrying Smackdown's Main Event load for most of last year. Undertaker gets hurt a lot. Batista gets hurt a lot. Look at the roster of Smackdown. Edge is a constant and with good reason. He's entertaining, can take the big bumps and wrestle as well. Also.. remember this. The feud with Edge that made WWE's latest Main Eventer, who just took time off from WWE this week? Jeff Hardy.
5. Randy Orton - No explaination necessary. I'm just curious why a heel this great for the biggest company is this low.
6. Nigel McGuinness - Only saw him once and I was thoroughly impressed. With all signs pointing towards the unfortunate collapse of ROH, Nigel is going to be one of those, we gotta sign him names. I think he was a sweet heel and he wrestled a sick match with Austin Aries at the only ROH show I went to. Sick match.
7. Hiroshi Tanahashi - ........................ eeerrrrr......
8. CM Punk - Best heel on Smackdown. Another guy who helped get Hardy over as the big time face player in the Main Event. How can you possibly like a guy who swooped in and took the title when it looked like Hardy was ending a feud with the belt on his shoulders after all those hoops he jumped through. This is the heel everyone will despise because he has that "You should live like I do" mentality and he lays it down with a half serious, half sarcastic/cynic disdain. He made a HUGE vault from ECW to Main Eventing the big shows this year. One of WWE's top 3 breakout superstars.
9. Sting - You want to get sick of someone? Get sick of Kurt Angle. He's reminding me of the nWo Hogan after the angle had gotten somewhat stale. Sting is the guy who has kept TNA moving this past year. I don't think there was one angle he did that I wasn't interested in, despite being surrounded by a sea of shit storylines. Sting is a pillar of TNA, when other, more talented and promising stars are being badly mishandled.
10. Ultimo Guerrero - Same as Hirohoyto Yamatashatangadushi up there around like 7 or whatever. I dunno, I can't see the list in this little box. Never saw him, just heard the name.
Honorable Mentions: AJ Styles, Jeff Jarrett. If I saw the rest of the list, I bet both of these guys are in the next 10.

Well if you really want to know, here is the next 10
11. Undrtaker 12. Kurt Angle 13. Jeff Hardy 14. Shaw Michaels 15. Keiji Muto (Great Muta) 16. Batista 17. Tyler Black 18. Jack Swagger 19. AJ Styles 20. Matt Hardy
If anyone is curious about where a certain wrestler ranked, then just say something. By the way, Jarrett ranked in at 21.

Where did Austin Aries rank? I'd think he'd be above Tyler Black, if for nothing else, because of his mic skills.
