Backstage After Supercard II

The new tag team champions are still celebrating in the ring, but that is not where are attention is focused. Just behind the curtain an exhausted team of Saber and Colt Crawford, now the former champions, are still trying to grasp what has just happened in the ring. Both men gave it their all, but one this day it was not enough. Saber is sitting on the ground leaning on a production box, while Colt is pacing back and forth in front of him. Colt seems as though he has something he wants to say, but until this point he has kept his mouth shut. Saber turns to Colt as Colt begins to stare at him.

Saber: Alright, get it off your chest. You ain't a big enough man to let something like that roll off your shoulders.

Colt: Two more seconds, that is all you had to hold on for. I was almost to you and I would have knocked his head off. Two more seconds and the match could have continued and we would probably still be tag team champions. Two more damn seconds!

Saber: Look, I did what I could. I fought till my last breath. I pushed till I couldn't push anymore. I took that submission move for as long as I could. I make no excuses for what I did, but maybe if I didn't have 400 pounds crashing on me, I wouldn't have been in such bad shape.

The two are quickly joined by The Clarks, Brian and Britney. Brian has an EMT with him and is checking on Saber and Britney attempts to check on Colt, but he just shoves her away.

Colt: I am fine! He needs the medical attention.

Saber pushes the EMT away and stands up and goes toe to toe with Colt who looks down on him.

Saber:(Turning to the EMT.) I am fine. (Saber faces Colt again.) And I sure as hell don’t need you crap right now. I went out there and fought my ass off to keep those belts. I held on for as long as I could. Maybe you should as yourself what you would have done if the roles were reversed.

Colt: They would have had to knock me out cold before I ever tapped out.

Brian: This is no time to be pointing fingers at each other. In case you both forgot every former champion has an automatic rematch clause, and I am going to make sure that you get your rematch at the next Showdown. So instead of building friction between you two, you need to keep building the team work that I saw all week.

Colt: We will see how things play out!

Colt is the first to break from the stare down. He looks at Brian and doesn’t say a word; instead he walks away from the group and heads for his locker room. Brian motions for Britney to follow him which she does, but is met with a slammed and locked door in the face.

Two days after losing his first title, we are back in Colt’s hometown and this time at his personal home. It is a cold night out, and majority of the apartments in Colt’s complex are quiet and dark. Colt’s apartment it the only one that is shining a light out into the hallway, and that light is coming from his room. As he lays there on the bed staring at the ceiling, the television is muted and Colt has a deadly stare as he is not even blinking.

Two more seconds

That low life couldn’t last two seconds

I never wanted to be his partner anyways

Then why is it pissing me off so much

Greed for the gold

Respect from the others

I don’t give a shit about that

It pisses me off that I let him drag me down

That I let Brian Clark drag me down

Would I have been tag champion without them

Maybe not

But not because of talent, but lack of partner

Maybe I could have took the Kersh path

Went into that match alone

Then I would have been responsible for my own fate

And I wouldn’t have tapped out

I would have lasted a lot longer then just the two necessary seconds

I would have held my own

I guess I could say I would have won the damn match

And now there is a rematch

Captain Krunch

And Mr. Unbeaten

The new tag team champions

The first TWD Title for the both of them

And we do I get to do battle with

None other then Puss in Boots again

Who can I thank for this wonderful opportunity

Thank you Mr. Clark

Your genius once again amazes me

Yet your inability to continuously sustain success is admirable

If I could find a loop hole in that contract I would take your name right off of it

Unfortunately I can’t

Which sucks, but is life

However, I will succeed pass this

Whether it is now

Or later

I will succeed

And maybe get revenge at the same time

I have never been beat in the TWD

And I am Holier Than Thou

Suddenly the lights in the bedroom shut off and footsteps can be heard entering and walking towards the bed.

Colt: I was wondering when you would arrive
