So I had the chance to go see a TNA Live event and decided it was worth the money. Got great seats and had an awesome time.
First match
Herdanez vs Bashir.
Sheik came out first and as usual, badmouthed the USA, right off the bat the USA chants came out and Bashir kept telling us to shut up.
Herdanez comes out to a pretty good pop. The crowd chants USA some more.
Herdanez dominated the match mostly, he hit a vertical suplex and had Bashir up for a minute and half easy, the longer he held it the louder the crowd got and when he finally took Bashir to the mat he got a huge pop. Herdanez wins with authority.
Daniels vs Homicide
Homicide kept jawing with these dudes up front who I assume were insulting him. Daniles put on a solid show and seeing him live is better than on TV. They put on a great show with both of them escaping the other's finishers. Homicide wins with assist from the feet on the ropes in the corner. Crowd booed and Homicide disappears to the back. Daniles argues with the ref and then the ref gets Homicide back in the ring, the crowd gets into it and wants a restart, but Hebner says NO, and thats that. Homicide pats Hebner's butt on the way out as if it was planned. Match was great, oh the crowd gave Daniels a standing O for his performance.
Eric Young vs Matt Morgan.
Morgan dominates, but Young has fans in the crowd. I really enjoy this heel Eric, not the Team Canada scardey cat (even tho that was a funny gimmick too) I really think he's taken the ball and ran with it with World Elite. While I really don't care much for Bashir and Takabkladfkjlkahkljfi, I enjoy Eric and the Brits. Morgan constantly flips off the WE fans each time he hits an impact move. Match was good and Eric was a good sell.
3 Way elimination style Tag Team match. Beer Money vs British Invasion vs Motor City Machine Gunz.
This may have been THE match of the night other than the main event. Brits came out, talked their crap, MCMG comes out and just mocks and makes faces at the Brits when they were on the mic. Then Beer Money comes out, they say something that makes the entire crowd start insulting the Brits.
Match is fast paced, a lot of great action. It was interesting with the contrasts of styles, you had the MCMG who were fast paced flying all over the place, then you had the Brits who were a lot more technical, and then Beer Money was like the power team. All three teams worked well off each other, MCMG are eliminated first, but they end up helping Beer Money pull off the win.
Double Main Event. Match 1 ODB vs Madison Rayne.
ODB is a Saint Cloud State University graduate and former hockey player too. The arena they were wrestling in was where she used to play hockey in College so it was like a homecoming match. She comes out in her old college jersey. Madison Rayne mocks ODB, so ODB takes the jersey off and mocks Madison's entrance on the ropes. The crowd is obviously behind ODB and they put on a great show, ODB wins with authority.
Aj Styles vs Samoa Joe for the TNA World Title.
Match of the night. They went back and forth and each one hit several signature moves. The weird part is the crowd was very pro Joe. This is why Joe seems out of place as a heel to me, it seems like the crowds are always Pro Joe. They put on an awesome show and AJ hits the bicycle kick to finish Joe off and keeps his title.
This was the first TNA show I've ever been to and I have to say I'm addicted, I want more. I enjoyed the show and can't wait to go see it often when I move to Florida.
