M'kay... few things today while I wrap up the website updates.
First and foremost... still beating myself up over not living up to my end of the deal here this week. Won't happen again, scouts honor.
Secondly... and pretty sadly.. we have to say goodbye to Shabree Reddington and Chris Freytag. I kept this information on the down low until we could complete an angle, but Bree had a family member take ill and she has moved to help take care of her. Freytag, on the other hand, has stepped away based on this and that his life is becoming increasingly busy. He will be assisting me from time to time with match writing and all, so he'll be taking on more of a backstage helper role. It's unfortunate to see them both go when they had such hot characters in this federation, but you know.. life happens and we're still just playing a game here. I wish both of them the best and Bree's aunt a speedy recovery.
Thirdly... we are on break until December 27th. I have composed a tenative card for the New Year and if that card stays as is... then its going to be the biggest show we've had yet, absolutely no doubt. I'm going to dub it a "3 Hour Special" because of the number of matches, which currently sits at 8. I don't expect them all to go off, but I'll be getting in touch with handlers to make sure they can swing it, roleplaying wise.
With a show of this size and magnitude, I will need help. Anyone who would like to take a match and write for me, would be very appreciated. I'm sure that I'll tap Mr. Freytag for a match or two if he has the time, but I wouldn't mind another writer or two.
Segments for this show will be fairly significant, given that we are kicking off a new year in TWD and I'd like the show to really set the tone for things to come. We have many angles/storylines in the works already, so it shouldn't be hard for folks to come up with things. Anyone who doesn't have something lined up at the moment, please.. feel free to get ahold of me over IM or through a PM here. You all know that I'm very diligent with getting angles together and I always take the time for any of you who need to talk or bounce ideas off. Most of time, this is the reason why shows don't come out until late on the day of results. I spend a lot of time talking storylines, when I should be match writing. No complaints here, just saying.
Fourthly... I will be working on the new website during this break. I wanted to have it out by Ascension '10, so I do have a considerable amount of time, but as I've stated many times.. I don't like to half ass stuff. I have a lot of things I want the new site to feature and I've listened to your suggestions as well. Some will be used, other's wont. All in all.. it's a pretty big task on my end, since I'm just learning CSS and XHTML anyway. I've never been all that hot with graphics, so people who are very good with them.. *cough* Freytag *cough* Hartnell *cough* ... their help would be appreciated.
Lastly... some know, but I'm not sure everyone does yet. My lease on my apartment here in Florida runs out at the end of March and I'll be relocating back home to my hometown in NY. At this point, I don't have any plans to hand off the fedhead responsibilities or close down TWD. I'm taking it as it comes to me, but I thought I would let everyone in on that piece of information. I may end up putting TWD on a week or two break.. more than likely atleast one week, but I'll have a far better idea of what is going to happen as we get closer to my move.
Reason for my uncertainty revolves around what I will be doing when I get back home to NY. I'm not totally clear about my employment situation at this point, but I am heavily considering not acquiring regular employment and leaning towards being a professional poker player. If that comes to fruition, then we'll just have to see how that will play into my schedule. Playing poker for a living will require a lot of my time away from my computer and spending what would be full time employment hours at a poker table, grinding out my living. It's hard to say at this point what my availability will be, but like I said.. just letting you all know.
Anyway.. thats about all I can think of at the moment. Happy Holidays everyone and enjoy the break.
