M'kay. So.. a few things to address. Thought I would throw it up here now before I dive into another match.
Check out these songs.

My free time... this is changing. Obviously.. because of my new relationship with a woman who requires much attention, I have less time on my hands. This is no real big deal to me, but it is less time to devote. Thankfully for TWD, my girl works nights, so I'll still be around in the evenings and on my days off of work (Thurs, Fri, Sun).
Work has picked up drastically now that we are past Xmas. We are hitting our stride now and offically in "season". This will continue until around Easter when the people start to head back up North. That is generally dependant on the weather and the cold has been sticking around longer up North these past few years.
What does this mean for me? Means I'm less likely to skip out of work early, like I've been prone to do in the past when TWD had a show week. That's right kids.. I regularly left work early to come home and write for TWD. I also bought a laptop so I could get away from this computer and write in the other room. Think I don't invest real money in TWD? Think again. This federation has cost me thousands and I wouldn't even think of bitching about it. I do it for you, I do it for me. It's my hobby and I enjoy it, even when it's a pain in the ass.
Sooooo... what is gonna happen?
The solution is an easy choice, but I'll present both options for you all to see.
1. I can continue running TWD the way I am with full written matches and spend 15+ hours a week on the show. This will inevitably cause me to close the federation or step down and hand it off to someone else in a short period of time.
2. I can change how I do things to save myself the time and frustration of writing matches every 2 weeks that most of the time, get skimmed unless someone is in that match. This will bring the time it takes me to complete a show to about half of what I am investing now. The federation will continue for much longer and I doubt I'll ever have to give it up.
Soooo... you see, the answer is simple. After this show.. Showdown matches will be summarized, but I'll give them as much detail as I can possibly kick into them. What I may do is write out the Main Event for each show, but we'll see how I feel about that when it comes around. All PPV and Supercard matches will receive a full write up. I'll put out my best when you guys are putting out your best. That's the least I can do for all of you.
What I may do.. and this is something that I suggested to Pat a long ass time ago, but I doubt he remembers. When something significant happens during a match, I may break away from the summary and show the actual write up of that spot.. with the commentary and a little more highlighting for the significant action. That way.. the real important stuff won't get lost in a match summary.
I have come to this conclusion based on several things. My relationship, my work and the fact that I've asked for match writers on several occassions now and had literally no support. I'm not hating on you all for that. I don't like writing matches either, BELIEVE ME. So it's very understandable.
I'm making this move because I want to extend the life of the federation for some time to come. I've said on many occassions during the Top Shelf that I will run TWD as long as I can possibly run it. This is just one of those steps into maintaining that promise to you all.
The idea of handing over the federation to someone else after I've dumped all the time I have into it and did all the recruiting I have done makes zero sense to me. Handlers would be irritated with me after getting them on board and then taking off. People here who really enjoy what I bring to the fedhead position of TWD wouldn't be too happy with me stepping down either. So ya know.. this is the right thing to do.
FWF... what myself and many others consider the pinnacle of the efedding experience, wrote similiar match write ups and no one even complained out it. The PPVs received the most attention, so I will run with that template as well. I think it will work out just fine here.
Someone make Joey Johnson a banner if you can. He's a good guy. He ain't asking for much.
I had a Top Shelf in the works for this week. I did about a 2 hour interview/chit chat session with MISSLE, but we had some serious problems with audio. He came in crystal clear and I sounded like I was calling into a show, using a cellphone with bad reception and being on speaker. Sooo.. that great thing we did, didn't turn out so well. Sorry about that. I'll just tell ya all again it was really good, but we're gonna work on that so we can have it for you all again. Shut up, Pat. You'll get your interview when I get this right.
We're all a little out of it following the Xmas Break. I'm still happy we did it. Things will pick up steam again in the coming shows, I have no doubt about that.
I want everyone to look at the main site and check out the roster we have. TWD has a very strong roster and I'm always reaching out to make it better. It's no secret that this federation has taken a turn since I took over. No knock to Pat on that at all. I feel what you guys are saying. Pat ran it and it felt regional. I ran it and it feels national. I believe that, as well. Pat told me before I took over that he knew I would do this for the federation and I am very pleased that I have been able to deliver that to you all as well.
I think we are entering into a new Era in TWD history. I believe that Krenshaw is going to be a very strong Champion and the contenders that will come after him will push his abilities to a new level as well. As I continue to bring in more marquee talent, everyone will have to step up their game to reach their own personal goals in this federation. Guys.. that is when this game is truly fun for everyone. When you have to push yourself.
Help me, while I help you.. to restore the competitive edge to this game. It'll never be what it was many years ago, but we are working on something new. Something, that I feel, can bring back that feeling. The feeling of great roleplaying battles. Great shows. One great federation that everyone will be talking about, even after it's done and over with.
I want TWD to be that federation. I want you guys to be those names that people are talking about in a few years as "the greats" of it. When I create a Hall of Fame.. I want the people who really helped define this federation to have their name up there and proudly.
I said it when I took over and it's still my mantra for this place. You can go play the game here. You can play it there. But if you give me what I need for this place, I will give you what you need.... because in The Wrestling Domain...
We'll Make You Famous.
