(The scene opens as Tomas Luger pulls up to the OWL headquarters in Brighton Beach, New York. He exits his 1964 jet black Impala, and beeps the alarm. The Champion of the Masses takes a nervous, deep breath and makes his way up the stairs and opens the door to the main warehouse. For the first time in months, the lights are on and there’s a cleaning crew sweeping down the floors, dusting and oiling the equipment. Ring crews are changing out the ring ropes, checking the springs under the mat, and replacing the canvas as needed.
At the back, up the zigzagging staircase, there’s a light on in the office. Tomas hasn’t been in the office for months, and he hasn’t seen the man in the office for even longer. However, as the camera is about to shift to show who Lugar is seeing, the feed begins to scramble. As the static takes over the airwaves, the sound of a man, whimpering, is heard in the back ground.)
Voice: Please God, help me. I don't know what I did to deserve this, but I need Your help now. More than ever I need you to release me from this punishment.
(The sound of crying is heard.)
Voice: It is not fair. I have tried so hard to abide by Your will and now you allow me to suffer like this. Why? Why do you forsake me so? Have I not pleased You? Have I not done Your will?
(A cold, dead silence is heard)
Voice: DAMN IT! Answer me. Please God, answer me.
(The voice fades off as the sound of static returns. Slowly the static on screen fades away and we see the face of Damian Morningstar. Sitting in his throne of fused bone and stone, Morningstar is wearing the traditional robe of The Fallen. His hood is up over his head and hands clasped togather. The light in the room comes from candles as it is seen to flicker from time to time. As the camera pans out, we see that the bodies of both Brent Kersh and Prophet Jahmon are laying at his feet. Neither man appears to be moving. The camera once again focuses on the sinister features of Damian Morningstar. A wicked smile is seen up on his face.)
Why is it that people think that associating with Tomas Lugar wil make themselves relevant? Does the Wizard of Fools being interested in joining a faction of imbeciles make it so? By attacking Lugar at Showdown and then mentioning The Rabble and even the new number 1 contender help keep Colt Crawford from fading into obscurity?
Sadly, it does not.
Lugar, you may have some new found confidence, but it shall do you no good come Sunday night. Despite what your friend may have told you, you have no clue just what I am capable of.
You are both foolish if you think that chess is a "team sport." Chess is a game for intellectuals, something that you obviously are not. It is also about strategy and manipulation. You force your opponent to move his pieces the way you want them to. In chess, it is not about what you are doing in the first move, but 3 moves from the first.
My destruction of the Enforcer was merely the begining of the game I have set into motion. While you claim that eliminating either Krenshaw or Hartnell would cause more of an impact, I highly disagree with your opinion. Your forget that Brent Kersh founded The Wrestling Domain. Even though he is no longer in control, he is still the man that had a vision that has set the wrestling world on fire.
Brent Kersh is the father of TWD.
So while the Krenshaws and Hartnells and Sabers and Enos of the world may be in the spotlight right now, their importance is fleeting. As time goes on, they will make their exit and the next great star will emerge in The Wrestlig Domain. However, Kersh will forever be remembered for his roll in directing this company to the top and regardless of his position, Kersh would always be the piller that holds this company up.
So answer me this. Who is more relevent now?
Remember, it was not too long ago when you were the one everyone had annointed as their chosen champion. For several months you fought your way to the top and tried to succeed the former champion, but time after time, you failed. You proved that all that talk was just that. Sure, your legacy is set since you were part of the first TWD Tag Team Champions, but we all know that that was merely a consolation prize.
However, you always seem to crumble under the pressure. You take so much of it that you constantly force yourself to leave. How do you expect to be taken seriously if you can't stick around long enough to make a true mark. Even when someone would toss you a bone upon your returns, such as your replacement of Rob Blondie in the BKI tournament, you fail. You fail so bad that you fail to show up in an opportunity to challenge for the now defunct Enforcer title.
So Lugar, how long till you decide to take your ball and go home this time?
Take a look at wha lies at my feet.
(The camera pans down to the lifeless bodies of Brent Kersh and the Prophet Jahmon.)
Along with yourself, these 2 men help represent the hope that TWD had in the begining. Each one of you represented a diffrent era of the sport. Kersh was the past, you were the present and Jahmon was the future, but now look at them. The past is always left buried, just like Kersh will soon be, and with my corruption of Jahmon Rastafari, I showed just how bleak the future is. Now I must show the world just what present is really all about. It has nothing to do with Tomas Lugar and his Rabble, nor the Alliance, or even Krenshaw and his fellow Trifecta members. The present revolves around only The Fallen and soon we will set the world ablaze. We will cleanse the world of it's innocence and bath it in the darkness of our souls.
And I will sacrifice anything and anyone that I deem necessary.
As I proved on Showdown, even my own followers are not safe when I see the need to make my intentions known. As I told you once befor Lugar, if I am willing to do that to my own minion, what will I do to you. Believe me when I tell you that noone is safe. Soon, even the World champion will bow at my feet and humble himself before me. I will decimate all who oppose me and prove that that the so called "champions of the masses" are weak compared to my power.
So enjoy your recent resurrection as idolation, for it will not last long and when I am finished with you, you will relize just how irrelevent you have become.
(The camera's feed once again goes back to the staticy form that opened Morningstar's comments. Slowly, the closing scene of Tomas Lugar's most recent promo begins to play once again.)
Tomas Lugar:......and I’ll see you in the ring on Showdown.
