Two years ago I was set to make my official debut in the TWD. It was a different time then it is now, and the TWD was even more the different. There were no Moderators, no Krenshaw, hell there wasn’t a majority of the current roster. Not to mention that there was not even a World Champion in the TWD yet. I was a recent wrestling graduate, even if it was from a master of little, and I was prepared to be the next big thing, then something happened.
It would be a move I would practice and use on more than a hundred of occasions before and since, this time it became a move that cost me a year of my career. A simple Power bomb that is meant to deliver severe pain to my opponent and lead me to victory, only this time the pain was mine as was the defeat. I could blame Mitchell for not wiping up the mat successfully, but what would be the point in that he already gets blamed for everything that goes wrong in his dysfunctional family.
On that day I slipped on the mat and instead of just falling, I was able to catch my balance, briefly. Then you heard the pop, hell everyone in the training arena heard the pop. It was my ankle, and I knew instantly that it was more than just a simple sprain. I broke my ankle that day, and it took me almost a year to fully recover and step back into the ring, a TWD ring.
You may be asking yourself, why the history lesson? The answer is simple. That was a low point in my career; I thought my dream had ended. And before it could get better it got worse. While I am healthy at the moment, I am staring down the barrel of yet another extreme down moment of my career. I have had five straight losses, something that is unheard of in this business. This is something that could cripple a career, but not in this situation.
Tomorrow night the tide finally turns on my fortune and I once again begin the climb back to the top of the TWD Mountain. It will take me a while to get back there, I guess I will have to respect that, but once I do I will be more prepared than ever to take my rightful place as the champion.
York, you are the first little step that I need to take in order to accomplish that for which I have set out. I know you are attempting to make your return successful, and last week you were able to do just that. However, this week your momentum will be stopped. You will learn what others have, and that is what I am capable of doing to people. If you need a preview you could simply ask you partner about last week.
How does your head and body feel this week Lugar? Has the swelling all gone down, or are you still looking like a grapefruit head? Either way I think my message was delivered loud and clear. And if you need a repeat performance then you know better than anyone where you can find me. I am sure you will be checking out your boyfriend’s match, hell I am inviting you to accompany him down to the ring. But remember this promise, if you stick your nose where it don’t belong again I will make sure to knock it so far in your head that you will be able to smell your brain.
You band of misfits may be growing, and that may give you an extra sense of security, but please don’t let it. At the end of the show I will have handed York his ass on a legal match, and if Wizard chooses to align himself I will do the same to him, leaving you and I to stand man to boy. And when we do that I can promise that you, boy, will not be standing long.
It is nice to see that my name still rolls off the tongue of the once admired Blueprint. Ironically, the once bright career now looks to have a black eye clouding over.
One week before Supercard III, and the card is yet to be set. What that tells me is that the Moderators are looking for people to fill the card that will draw big numbers and big ratings. One of the those people is me, and I will use York to once again prove my worth, and regardless of who my opponent ends up being at Supercard I will continue my assault on them. Tomorrow is the next step in my newest recovery effort, only this one isn’t taking a year.
I am Holier Than Thou…and more importantly I am better than you!!!
