I'm starting to get to work on some things that I've been planning for the website.
If anyone has noticed, I've started tinkering with the Roster bios.
Each character's bio will carry a regularly updated W/L Record for both singles matches, as well as tag team matches. Each match will have a link to the show it happened on and after I get all the coding embedded, the link will go directly to that match. This is only for the sake of people being able to track their progress. Please, for the love of god, don't ever let me read in your roleplays that you are 9 wins and 5 losses. You couldn't sound more like a jackass saying that stuff.
I've also added an Alumni/Inactives section, with links their bios.
I will be working the Rankings in a different way once the new title scenario is worked into the federation. Each character will be ranked under a particular belt, in order of contendership. This should help some of who are wondering where you stand within the fed and when you should get a title shot. The easiest way to get to the champion is to beat the people in front of you. Makes sense, huh? This is going to take a few months before I get it up on the site, because I'd like to get everything I have planned in action first. So, stay tuned for that.
Once again, as a reminder since no one has done it, please update your character's bio story. Start it off with a breif synopsis of who they are and why they got into wrestling. Then, keep an active log of their TWD activity. No need to go into great detail about their feuds or angles. Just keep up on their happenings. Please, PM your character's stories to me so I can put them onto the bios and keep them updated. This will help others know who your character is and what they have been through in their TWD careers. Roleplays against you will improve when you keep this updated.
I'm going to begin working on some guides for the federation that will cover several areas. They will act as "How To" guides for handlers. They will cover areas from improving your roleplays, improving your character, segment strategies, upward ascension strategies and all that stuff. This is for the experienced to new wrestler. There will be something in here for everyone to learn from or just to digest in general. It should give everyone who is in the fed, as well as perspective TWD handlers, an idea of what it takes to be successful here.
The new website is moving along incredibly slow, but that's not really a big deal. I want it to be sharp, so it can help TWD attract new handlers. A federation's website really tells a story about how serious the fedhead is about running the place and I'd like to have something that showcases how much effort I put into this place. Unfortunately, my knowledge on coding is limited, as is my time for this, so this is a process to say the least.
Columns/Podcasts
A few of you had columns a while back. Why did you stop writing them? These add so much more to the federation as a whole, when the handlers offer up their opinions about the federation happenings. Interviews with other handlers are interesting to read, as well.
I know I have slacked on the Top Shelf podcasts, but what about some of you other guys who have the means to produce a podcast? I'd sure be nice to have a couple more shows.
That's about all I have at the moment. Don't forget to send me segs for Showdown. I already PM'd a number of you about setting things up for this show and others to come.
Next big event is Ascension and everyone will be involved in an over the top rope battle royale for a World title shot to be had at the next Supercard event. There will only be 3 other matches on the card, one of which is a World Title match. I realize that everyone wants to be featured on these shows, but you just have to understand that I don't have slots for everyone. Make your feuds mean something and intense and you have a better chance of making them onto the shows.
