Terry Dane, along with his wife and son, is out and about on the town. They are celebrating his first major win in TWD. Word has spread in Kansas City and he has many of it's residence congratulating him and even a few wanting autographs. His wife, Ginevra, laughs at her husband as he reluctantly signs various items with a very red face. Eventually, Terry picks up Tommy from his stroller just so he can have a sweet, drooling buffer.
Ginevra: Terry, you are so funny. You act like if you enjoy any of this it might disappear.
Terry: It just might, Ginny. It has before. SCORE was around one day and gone the next. Plus, it was one match. Its hardly winning the BK or a title.
Ginevra: Kansas City thinks you did something great. They see what you are and what you will be, Terry.
Terry: I appreciate the support, but one match does not a career make. I have to prove myself, still. I have to show everyone- fans, wrestlers, and myself - I deserve the respect.
Ginevra: Well, sounds like you have a few weeks until you can prove it. You aren't on the pay per view card.
Terry: See, if I was in a better position, I would have been booked. I still have to prove to management I can draw money before they will show confidence in me. I could be in the tag team battle if I had a partner.
Ginevra: Did you make any connections in the locker room? What about Justin York?
Terry: It appears as Justin is working with Tomas Luger. Luger was a upper mid card guy in Tennessee.
Ginevra: What about that nice Dylan Jones?
Terry: Last I heard, he was not wrestling anymore. Though, it would be an honor to team with him. He was one of the few guys I looked up to in the BK and SCORE.
Ginevra: Is there anyone at TWD you think you can work with?
Terry: I just don't see it. I would rather not compete than have one of the JNT's as a partner. If Eno Redrum was the one who I remember seeing tapes of a few years ago-maybe. I respect Tommy “Southpaw” O'Malley, but not sure he and I would click even if he was interested.
Ginevra: Sounds like you are a man without friends, Terry. That's hardly a way to work.
Terry: That's wrestling, Ginny. It's what you deal with when you are in this kind of business. It doesn't breed friends or very many good people.
Ginevra: That just proves what I've been saying to you. You are a wonderful, rare man.
The two walk silently for a few blocks and then Terry speaks up.
Terry: I am starving! I need protein. I wonder if I could get half a baked chicken in this place up here?
Terry, Ginevra, and Tommy enter what really is a greasy spoon. However, they do sit down and begin to look over the menu.
Ginevra: This is not a very appealing place, Terry.
Terry: I've got to eat, Ginny. My workouts burn protein.
Ginevra: OK. I think I have some cheerios in my purse. So, tell me, would you be happy if you were in tag team wrestling for awhile?
Terry: It would give me a chance to hone my skills further, but it's moot since I can't think of anyone to team with anyway.
(a voice from next to their table): Dont be so sure...Are you ready to be served?
Terry looks up to see- Emilio Ramirez.
