Terry Dane stands in the workout ring, sweating, breathing heavily, but feeling the endorphins flowing through his veins. His apparent tag team partner, Emilio Ramirez, is now bumping and going through sets of moves. Terry ponders how they ended up partners, unlikely at that. Still, he knows Ramirez has potential and seems genuinely interested in making the team valid and strong. Terry respects that immensely.
Female voice- Hey there, stud. Standing there all sweaty makes me all tingly.
Terry turns to see his wife, Ginevra. Her eyes sparkle as gorgeous as the most brilliant jewels. The red head's smile warms Terry to his very soul. Terry smiles warmly-then suddenly takes an elbow to the chin.
Terry- Ouch! What the-
Ramirez- Got to stay sharp!
Ginevra- (laughing) He's right, Terry! Can't let those hot ring rats distract you Saturday.
Terry- Only one ring rat interests me-too bad she's not here!
Ginevra gives a mock look of shock and then flips him the bird.
Terry- Emilio, I'm going to go spend some time with my family. I'll meet you back here tomorrow.
Terry grabs his wife's hand and they head out of the building. She stops him once they are outside. He turns to her and she kisses him deeply then releases him.
Ginevra- So, tell me how it's going?
Terry- He and I are different, but we both have focus and we both want to win. He has potential, yet has a way to go. So do I, for that matter. The battle royal is going to be a different animal. Tag team is a misnomer, really. Still, we both are good at what we do. We both know what we are getting into. We both know there are men in the match that will do anything to win.
Ginevra- Cutting a promo on your wife, again?
Terry- Hey, you asked.
Ginevra- Sorry, I did. (laughing)
Terry- So, where is Tommy?
Ginevra- He's at Mrs. Stone's. She's been wanting to baby sit for awhile and I want a night with my husband-unless he'd rather find a ring rat.
Terry- Mrs. Dane, there's no ring rat that can hold a candle to you!
He pulls her to him and kisses her passionately. she pushed him away.
Ginevra- Ok, big boy, tell me the truth. You are worried about the match, aren't you?
Terry- (smiling at his wife) You can read me too well. Yeah, I am. I'm not used to this style. It's not my style of match. I have to worry about my partner is eliminated. Basically, so many variables-
Ginevra- Can you do anything to train against those variables?
Terry- Some, but not most.
Ginevra- Then stop worrying about it! You will do what you always do, your best. You win, great! You lose, learn from it!
Terry- You're right.
Ginevra- I know I am. Now, can we go to dinner and then you take me home and us me like a ring rat!
Terry- (grinning widely) It's a date!
End.
