Okay, here we go!
Over the past couple of months JENT has received a lot of complaints about my use of the "N" word and how black people, such as myself, should stop calling each other nigga. "Nigga! What's up my nigga?!" You know, shit like that which we be saying all the time in the hood, on the streets, in the movies and in rap music.
Now unless you been living in a human size microwave with a lock on the front for the past 25 years I am sure you have heard somebody somewhere use the word nigger. That guy off of Frazier maybe?
As a background, some of you may know and some of you may not know, when black people were first brought to America from Africa it damn sure wasn't for a vacation! Shit, ain't like my people stepped off the bloat and somebody said, "Tyrone you just arrived in America, whatcha gonna do?"
And you can damn well bet Tyrone didn't respond, "Wow, I'm going to Disney Land nigga!"
Southern slave owners called their black slaves niggers. This was a racial term used for the color of their skin, from the root word Negro. I want to be as bias as I can so feel me on this okay? I am not trying to be the angry black guy. I just want you all to see this from a black perspective.
Now slavery, as it was known in America, has only been done away with for like the last 125 years or so. That's not that damn long ago. Shit, I am from the south and my great grandfather, Shaka Sho'nuff the Cornbread Eating, Cotton Picking, Player SLASH Pimp of the Plantation, was born on a plantation. His parents were slaves. So although it maybe easy for some white people to say, "Oh get over it," that's actually offensive to me because I only have to go as far as my computer to be insulted by some bigot simply based on, the color of my damn skin!
Before my laptop is even warmed all the way up, there's some inbred idiot telling me to take my black ass back to Africa because he feels him and his ancestors never did anything wrong to me and my ancestors over the last few hundred years. So, back to the whole "black people shouldn't call each other the 'N' word anymore" thing.
I was out with this white friend of mine, yeah I got white friends and we will call this one "Skippy." That ain't his real name, but I have to protect his identity or the people in the suburbs might force him to move out for hanging with a nigga. Anyway, we was hanging out and he said, "Shaka, I wanna ask you a question and don't get mad at me okay? How come black people can call each other the "N" word, but if I call a black person the "N" word he is ready to whip my white ass?"
Well I said, "Skippy, think of it this way. Yo people been calling us that for the last 400 years. Take a damn break!"
Black people shouldn't call each other the "N" word, okay think about this. If I brought my son, Shaka Sho'Nuff the Set-Trippin', Gang-Banging Jr. Player SLASH Mini Pimp of South Oak Cliff, TX. to his baby sitter's house and every time I left this babysitter was cussing talking like, "Fuck, Shit and Bitch," then after awhile my son is gonna be up in my house talking, "Fuck, Shit and Bitch." Then I'm gonna be like, "I don't talk to you like that son, where you be hearing this shit little nigga?"
Yeah I know I just contradicted myself, but you white people are smart enough to understand the damn meaning I am trying to get across so pay the fuck attention bitch!
Now back to my point. Now instead of me getting mad at my son for saying those words, I would have to go back to the origins of where he learned that type of shit to learn where he gets this from. So the next time you see a black person saying, "what's up my nigga?!" before you get mad, stop, go back to the origins. Where do we black people get this from? This is just food for thought.
Now think about it, now maybe if racists bigots in America stopped calling us "niggers," maybe we as a people would stop calling each other "nigga." It's not a guarantee, it's just something to wrap your mind around. Let it marinate people and see what ya cook up.
Now, I love all people simply because we come from the same. Dogs and cats can not procreate, but honkies, niggas, chinks, spics and all other races of the world can. A white and a black person can come together and make a wigger. A chink and a black person can come together to make a chigger and the list goes on and on. Now all that can only happen when you are from the same species. Again, we all come from the same. We are all humans and in that respect we are all beautiful.
