For the record... white people aren't scared of Obama. I'm speaking on behalf of the majority that is. He did win the election and even if he had every non-white vote for him, he still needed a lot of support from white people.
The lazy trailer trash people you mentioned? They don't like Obama. The ignorant, old-fashioned whites, mostly southerners.. don't like Obama. Check out what the map looked like post election. Looked like the Civil War all over again.
We're not scared. We just like to crack jokes. Obama is going to get the votes about everything black now or the reversal of whites to slaves.... much like Palin jokes were about the fact that she's a woman and a pretty attractive one at that.

I try to look at it this way. It was roughly 40 years ago when blacks couldn't sit at the front of the bus and could not use the same facilities or places of business as the whites. Now we have a black, non-christian president. instead of focusing on the negative, they need to look at how far we have come and the possibilities that come with that progress.
